Who actually gets Unlimited Mode in May?
Any paying user. New annual subscribers in May are auto-upgraded for the rest of the month. Every existing paid user - Pro or Max, monthly or annual - is moved into Unlimited Mode automatically. Free signups stay on the free tier until they upgrade.
What does Unlimited Mode actually include?
No model picking, no token counting. You tell Floatboat what you want and it routes to the best available model - GPT-5.5, MiniMax 2.7 or GLM 5.1 - with automatic fallback if a provider is busy.
I'm an existing Pro / Max subscriber. Do I need to do anything?
No. On May 11 we flip every active paid account into Unlimited Mode. Your billing date and renewal don't change. On June 1 you're back to your normal plan.
I'm on the free plan - can I get in?
Only by upgrading to a Pro or Max annual plan. Monthly plans stay on standard credit-based usage and do not unlock the May Unlimited Mode bonus.
Why are free signups excluded?
May Unlimited is a thank-you to the people funding the work. Anyone who's chosen to pay - at any tier, on any day - is in. People who haven't paid yet can join the moment they upgrade.
What happens to Unlimited Mode on June 1?
It closes. All accounts return to standard credit-based usage on June 1, 2026. Your annual subscription continues normally - only the Unlimited Mode boost is May-only.
Are there any usage caps during Unlimited Mode?
There's a per-user soft cap each day for fairness, plus light queueing during peak hours. Real workdays are unaffected; we only throttle clearly automated abuse.
What is the refund policy?
Please note: Annual subscriptions that have activated Unlimited Mode during the May AI Festival are not eligible for refunds. We encourage you to explore the free tier first to make sure Floatboat is the right fit.
